Challenge

City of Modesto needed coordinated downtown signal timing on major corridors, funded through CMAQ / RSTP match programs.

Solution

Minagar & Associates, Inc. retimed and synchronized signals with a Project Development Team that drove corridors and fine-tuned coordination after deployment.

Outcome

CAATS Award of Excellence for Best Return on Investment (California, 2002). Daily totals included 3,208 fewer stops and 11,004 fewer gallons of gas. See measured results.
